CompTIA A+ is the only industry-recognized credential trusted by employers around the world to validate skills and knowledge needed in technical support and IT operational roles. Unlike other IT support certifications, A+ is regularly re-invented by IT experts to ensure that it validates the skills and abilities demanded in the workplace.

The certification will still consist of 2 exams, but with new exam names - CompTIA A+ Certification: Core 1 Exam (Exam Code 220-1001) & CompTIA A+ Certification: Core 2 Exam (Exam Code 220-1002). Both exams will still be required to earn a certification. The new exams are scheduled for tentative release in January 2019.
